Multiple Teams · Raiders cruise to 78-67 victory over Mustangs behind Guess’s double-double

The Raiders Boys Basketball squad picked up their second straight win as they defeated the Strongsville Mustangs behind Christian Guess,  Dale Bonner and Justin Phillips combining for 63 of the team’s 78 points.
Guess marked his second game in a row where he has eclipsed a double-double.
He poured in 29 points and 12 rebounds. The last two games he has totaled 54 points and 27 rebounds.  Dale Bonner finished with 20 points, 5 steals, and 5 assists for another efficient night.
Justin Phillips had another good night ending with 14 points, hitting 2 threes. In 12 of the 16 games he has hit a three, the Raiders are 9-3 in such contests.
6’6 forward Omari Peek for the Mustangs lead all scorers with 34 points. Peek connected on 5 three pointers and went 11 of 13 at the line. Peek fought hard to keep his team in the game, scoring 26 of his 34 points in the second half.   The next closest scorer was Shaun Csire with 12
The Mustangs slide to 2-14 on the season and 1-9 in the conference.
The Raiders climb to 10-6 on the year and 7-3 in the conference. They will battle in an out of conference affair with the 5-11 Orange Lions on Tuesday, February 6th at home. Tip-off scheduled for 7:30 pm.

Freshmen: 53-42 win gives them a perfect 12-0 record. Deandre Hall with 12 and Jahdae Walker with 10.
JV: 59-55 victory. Nick Ferguson led with 22 points and Che Johnson with 16.
