Multiple Teams · Raiders defeat Skyline 35-19 in football opener

The Shaker Raider football team opened their 2016 season with a 35-19 victory over the Skyline Eagles from Ann Arbor, Michigan in a game played on the campus of Case Western Reserve University.

Senior Terrance Colvin started the scoring for the Raiders by returning the opening kickoff back for a touchdown.  QB Jamir Dismukes connected with Billy Dunn on a 70-yard touchdown pass to give the Raiders a quick 14-0 lead.Dismukes added a rushing touchdown before the half to give the Raiders a 20-13 lead.

The Raiders closed out the scoring with a flourish as Colvin returned another kickoff for a TD and the Raider defense added a safety and a touchdown.

The Raiders will now host the John Adams Rebels on Saturday at 1:00pm.
