Meet Recap

The Shaker Boys Cross Country team faced 17 opponents from Columbus, West Virginia, and Kentucky on Saturday at Pickerington North High School, and came out with a strong third place showing. Malik Joseph, and Matt Burnard continued to set the pace, while strong showings from Vivek DiVakarla, DeAndre Hall, and Dave Carpenter secured the strong finish in the large school division. Numerous runners set personal records, including senior Gautam Apte, and freshmen Sam Morris and David Verhage, who each broke 19 minutes for the first time, and senior Joe LaForest, who dropped a huge p.r., breaking 18 minutes! Runners of the meet were DiVakarla, Apte, Thomas Lang, Sam Yusko, and John Stevenson.
