Meet Recap

The Shaker Boys cross country team traveled to Tiffin this past weekend to participate in the second largest cross country meet in the United States. With the A team running in the most competitive division, the boys finished 15th out of 32 teams. The sunny day, fast course, and tough competition yielded p.r.’s across the board for the top 7. Once again, Matt Burnard led the way clocking in at 17:07, followed closely by Malik Joseph and Zak Reape. The pack attack was again crucial, as all Shaker runners finished within 32 seconds of each other. For the day, 9 Shaker runners ran in the 17’s as Emet Celeste-Cohen represented the team in the B race and freshman DeAndre Hall debuted with a 17:46 to finish 4th in the Open race. The team looked deep, with the B squad finishing 13th of 36 in the B Varsity race, and the open runners taking 7th place out of 30 teams. Runners of the Meet were Burnard, Joseph, Celeste-Cohen, and Connor Richard.
