Meet Recap

The Shaker Girls Cross Country team continued their march to the post season today with their first ever Greater Cleveland Conference championship! Facing stiff competition from state ranked Medina and Brunswick, the girls put out an extraordinary team effort to win by just three points. Sophie Carrier, Alexa Jankowsky, and Avery Blazak all cracked the top 9, with Andrea Harrison close behind in 11th place. Strong finishes by Oriana Anderson and Charlotte Lo sealed the deal, with Hailey Stupay rounding out the varsity performances.
With the regular season now behind them, the ladies will head to the brutal Medina district next Saturday as they quest to continue their season into November! Go Raiders!! A special shout out goes out to the rest of the team as well, with many outstanding performances in the open race! Shaker has turned heads all season with the depth of the program, and today was no different with four girls finishing in the top 10.
