Raiders run past Railroaders 33-13; improve to 3-1

The Shaker football team ran their overall record to 3-1 with a 33-13 victory over the Collinwood Railroaders Saturday afternoon at Russell Rupp Stadium on Red Raider Day.

RB Kenai Cooper rushed for two touchdowns while QB Jamir Dismukes threw for 3 TD’s through the air to three different Raider receivers.  Micah Hills, Mike Scott and Courtney Phillips were all on the receiving end of Dismukes’ strikes for Raider touchdowns.  Kickers Carson Fowler and Josh Jacobs each converted PAT’s for Shaker.

On the defensive side of the ball, LB Nasir Rashid led the Raiders with 8 tackles followed by Cameron Jones with 6 and Sam Meinhard & Carlos Hill with 5 each.  Meinhard, Rashid and Hill each also recordedDSC_5364 Coll DSC_5349 CollDSC_5505 CollDSC_5375 Coll sacks for the Raiders.

The Raiders move on to host the Medina Bees this Saturday at 1pm on Homecoming at Russell Rupp Stadium in a key GCC matchup.
