Meet Recap

The Shaker Boys’ Harriers continued to improve this week, taking fifth place in a strong field at the Avon Lake Early Bird Invitational. The team continued to run in a tight pack, with only a 31 second spread among their top six runners. The scoring was led by juniors Matt Burnard and Zak Reape who finished in 18th and 20th place. They were followed closely by Jake Lehner, Fenner Dreyfus-Wells, Vivek Divakarla, and David Carpenter. Rounding out the varsity performances was Emet Celeste-Cohen. The highlight for the day, however, may have come in the open race, where senior Malik Joseph, running his first ever cross country race, took first place overall! Runners of the meet for the week were Lehner, Sam Morris and Joe LaForest.
