Meet Recap

The fast improving Raider Boys’ Cross Country team went to the Legends Invitational and finished in 14th place in a field of 31 teams. For the first time this season, the entire top 7 broke 18 minutes, led by senior Joe Sammon who set a personal record with a time of 17:30. The team had the closest pack of any team in the field, as the first through seventh spots were separated by only 24 seconds. Freshman Vivek Divakarla continued to impress with yet another personal best, dropping his time to 17:46 and securing his spot on the varsity for the postseason. The beautiful weather brought fast times, and a number of the young men, grateful to get out of the heat, ran lifetime bests. Runners of the meet for the week were Matt Burnard, Chris Rhodes, Charlie Forbes, Jordan Green, and Jonathan Suna. The boys will be back in action at the league championship meet next Saturday in Strongsville.
