Shaker Cross Country teams were well-represented on Saturday at the OHSAA State Meet at National Trail Raceway in Hebron, OH.

The Lady Raiders were one of only sixteen Division I teams that qualified for the state meet and finished in 9th place in their first trip ever to the state meet.  Earning All-Ohio honors were Mimi Reimers (19th place) and Sophie Carrier (24th place). Joining Reimers and Carrier in their 9th place finish were Alexa Jankowsky, Ally Nordstrom, Sara Mesiano, Sophie Matts and Tessa Shlonsky.

Representing the Raider boys was Shaker’s first individual qualifier in almost ten years, Justyn Moore.  On Saturday, Justyn finished 32nd but posted a new Shaker boys’ record of 15:58.

Congratulations to all of the cross country team members and coaches Dave Englander, Connie Hartley, Kristen Harter and Kim Lorentz for their outstanding accomplishments this season.J. Mooreimage
